At Zomato, we believe it's important to focus on one's health. Our in-house fitness coaches and nutritionist focus on creating a healthier work environment for all.

All Zomans (including spouse and children) are covered under an extensive medical health insurance policy. In India, they also have access to unlimited telehealth consultations with a doctor.
For men and women at Zomato, we offer 26 weeks paid leave. This policy also applies to non-birthing parents, and in cases of surrogacy, adoption, and same-sex partners.
We all experience challenging situations in our lives. To manage these stressors and concerns, both at a personal and professional level, one can always reach out to our in-house team of counsellors.
We have an in-house creche in our Gurgaon office and have partnered with day cares in other cities.
Our flexi benefit plan enables zomans to modify the components of their compensation based on benefits such as newspaper and periodical allowance, leave and travel allowance, vehicle running and maintenance, telephone bill expenses, etc.
I joined Zomato as a Sales Manager and cut to five years later, I am now managing our entire restaurant dining team in Abu Dhabi.
I started my journey by interacting with a diverse set of restaurants under my portfolio. From tiny hole-in-the-wall establishments to massive seven star hotel properties – I was lucky enough to have had the chance to garner learnings from all such partnerships!
Just when I thought my time here couldn’t get any more exciting than this, I was asked to face an even bigger challenge by leading restaurant Dining Sales in Abu Dhabi. At a time when the threat of COVID was having a detrimental effect on the restaurant dining industry, this was an even tougher role than I had imagined. But with each challenge, our adrenaline soars, and this was no different. We have been able to instill deep confidence in our partners and customers, and have proven that restaurant dining is here to stay in Abu Dhabi!
Zomato, at the end of the day, is simply a sum of the fantastic people working together to provide 'better food for more people'.
Sales Team
What I look forward to at the end of each day is a sense of accomplishment – what I have learnt and what I did to make a difference. It’s been three beautiful years and Zomato has given me a comfortable space to learn, grow, and prosper everyday! It has taught me to close a day in the most successful manner.
Being a mental health professional, the nature of my job never allowed me to meet and interact with people outside of work back in the day. A 9 to 7 job, sitting in a chamber, with back to back therapy sessions, was rewarding but not sustainable. However, at Zomato, the approach is very holistic and encourages me to step out of the “chamber-model” and connect with people across the system. This gave me a great opportunity to broaden my skill set not just as a psychologist but as an individual as well.
What I love about Z is- ‘The People’- full of energy, positivity, ambitions and smiles, and ‘The Culture’- where there is freedom to create a way of working that works best for me.
What makes people happy at work? I believe it’s pretty much the same as what makes them happy in their lives – belongingness, well-being, social connections and a purpose. Being a part of Zomato, I wake up every morning and resonate with all of these. If you are looking for something on similar lines, Zomato will work amazingly well for you as it did for me. :)
People Team
I’ve been at Zomato for about 5 years now. Right after my graduation, I joined Z as a noob and learnt from the greatest minds. From building customer experiences team to strategising logistics and then to creating perfect order experience, I have come a long way.
In my current role, I identify and solve some of the key logistics issues to reduce our overall cost. For example, reducing the pickup and drop distances to improve customer experience as well as the cost.
What I like the most about Zomato is 'responsibility'. Better you do, the more responsibility you get. My day at Zomato starts off with one phrase: Carpe Diem (seize the day). Zomato is a talent pool for people with a positive mindset and the right intent. You learn a lot about how different segments work. We’re surrounded by the greatest brains and get to learn something new every day. That's why every day is a new day at Zomato :)
Logistics Team
I have spent four out of 10 years of my career at Zomato, and I promise you that no one in my family ever thought I'd settle for one single organisation for that long. But I found my home in Zomato.
From being a hotel management graduate, and having worked with hospitality groups such as Taj and Hyatt, I now lead growth for Zomato Feeding India.
My journey at Zomato has been nothing short of a rollercoaster ride! I started as part of the Zomato Gold (now Zomato Pro) Sales team, followed by playing an even bigger role within the Ad Sales team, and am now on my way to help solve one of the biggest issues our country faces today i.e. hunger.
At Zomato, I have had the opportunity to learn and develop myself into a generalist, and I truly believe that there is nothing that I can’t master now, be it Sales, Strategy, Operations or even Marketing!
Feeding India Team
After completing my education at IIIT Allahabad, I wanted to be in a role where I can own problems end-to-end, and witness the impact my work creates every day. Now, as part of Zomato’s Engineering team at Gurugram, I'm building restaurant dining-focused products, and making an impact on the lives of millions of customers across India and the Middle East.
My journey at Zomato started as a developer where I was responsible for productising and driving engagement through user-generated content, and this experience made me see the amount of impact a small piece of code can make. Applying my learnings in a different space altogether, I later started automating tools to ease recruitment workflows, and managed to reduce man-hours spent on this process by half.
In time, the problem statements I was solving became larger, and more grand! I began leading backend engineering for ‘Zomato Nutrition’, a whole new product category at Zomato, and designed a fully event-based backend service for this. We launched this category in just five months!
The insane pace of shipping products, the sense of complete ownership, and the ability to take risks while exploring new horizons are what differentiate Zomato for me. I am definitely a part of something bigger than myself here!

I’m a Covid graduate (batch of 2020) from Kolkata. I currently work in the mobile platform team. We solve every problem related to developer experience, third party or our in-house libraries, and many more.
Our goal is to make the life of other developers easy and hassle-free. We are currently working on making all our libraries easier to use and adaptable for teams across Z. Fun fact: we recently open-sourced our in-house design library: sushi.
One of my best experiences at Z? Working with the chat support team. We revamped the whole experience across our app by introducing features like location sharing and sending voice notes.
The best part about working at Z? You can be anyone you want and own the product from end to end, which I haven't seen in any of my previous companies. You get to work with super talented people who guide and mentor you, and ensure you're learning every day.
Tech Team
I currently work with the Customer Experience team where we try to provide an effortless Online Ordering and Support experience to our customers.
Over the last 8 years at Zomato, I’ve worked with multiple teams starting from Content to Online Ordering where I worked on an array of projects. There’s a common thread that exists between all these projects - customer experience. Be it enriching content on the platform or helping out a customer who is anxiously waiting for their order; everything that we do is to ensure that a customer never has a bad meal.
No two days are alike at Zomato. There are always bigger challenges to take and immense learning associated with each task. What I have learned here is to become fearless. A lot of times fear originates from doubt. Working with individuals who’ve got your back and are equally (if not more) focused on making every plan a success, there’s little room for doubt.
Customer Delight Team
I’m currently a part of the Instant Team at Zomato heading the Expansion & Infrastructure development. We as a team are figuring out innovative ways to dramatically reduce the food delivery time. Be it late night munching or a quick meal between back-to-back meetings, experimenting with out-of-the-box solutions to satisfy all those food cravings that can’t wait for the usual delivery timelines.
I started my journey at Zomato 6 years back with the tech and product team, then helped in scaling the Cloud kitchen business, I even managed to do a brief stint around expanding our sports and fitness vertical. I had never thought my career would progress in this direction but at Zomato, I was fortunate enough to choose what excited me and would best utilize and enhance my skillset at the same time.
Instant Food Team
I am currently working in the Hyperpure team in Ahmedabad where as a team we are solving the daily challenges restaurants face to procure their raw materials.
We are an organisation that encourages people to push boundaries and to get outside of their comfort zone. The ability to adapt to changes and work with ownership in solving any problem is what drives me to go the extra mile every day.
One such project that makes me proud to date was how during the first lockdown of the pandemic, we adopted, changed, and executed Zomato Markets within a few days so that our customers can have access to groceries seamlessly from their homes.
Zomato’s culture is diverse and unparalleled. I resonate the most with the continuous learning here.
Hyperpure Team
I started my Zomato journey as an Account Manager. Over the last 7 years, I have had the privilege of being a part of several teams and products, and interacting with many talented individuals, helping me learn most of everything I know today.
Together we are trying to make Zomato synonymous with Food in the UAE. I love the creative freedom I am allowed here to ensure we are constantly operating at maximum efficiency all the while also seeing to it that our customers are receiving the best experience possible. We have come a long way since our launch in the UAE.
There is truly never a dull moment at Zomato. The people, the energy, the feeling of belonging, and the knowledge that I am contributing to people’s lives in some way make me want to keep being a part of this family. I love solving problems and it’s great that at Zomato, this is what I get to do every day.

I'm Yash Shah, an iOS developer from Vadodara.
Since my school days, I've always been fond of problem-solving. This, combined with my fondness for mathematics drove me to software engineering.
Zomato provided the best foundation I could've asked for my dream. I joined as a hungry fresher in the search team and later shifted to payments (Edition Wallet).
Our team job is to ease the checkout process by skipping the usual hassle of entering CVV and/or OTP. As an iOS developer, my goal is to provide a crisp, pixel-perfect and smooth UI/UX experience.
What I love the most about Zomato? The teamwork that goes into conceptualising and building the app. It’s very intriguing to know that everything you do today will be used on a massive scale in easing customers’ lives. The feeling when your friends and family use a feature that you had worked upon is indescribable.

Hello, I'm Arun Kannan – a Malayali brought up in Delhi.
No one believes me when I say I'm from Kerala. For them, “mera Hindi acha hai.”
I joined Zomato in 2015 as a media quality analyst. Since it was my first job, I was equally curious and worried as to how this would turn out. But here I am, 7 years and counting, yet only 1% done.
I currently work in sentiment analysis to check the pulse of the nation. We listen to what people say about us and share the same internally, so we can address issues, take in recommendations, and deliver better experiences.
When people ask me why I love Z, I tell them it’s the culture. Who would like to miss out on a workplace where everyone brings their A game to work, every single day.
